| Measured Building Surveys (MBS)
The surveying teams at 40Seven are dedicated towards providing comprehensive and accurate Measured Building Surveys – including floor plan, elevation and cross section surveys - to a wide range of clients including architects, planners and interior designers.
Measured Building Surveys provide accurate and detailed plans of a building’s layout and structure, which can then be used for design and refitting purposes. A typical survey would show all structural features including walls, windows, doors, beams, floor and ceiling heights. Onto this can then be added fixtures and fittings such as sanitary-ware, electric points, light switches and fittings, radiators and furniture.
Measured Elevation Surveys can be carried out to show all structural and architectural details of a building façade or structure, such as a bridge. All features are shown, such as doors, windows frames, glazing details, roof details and surface mounted features. Using modern surveying instrumentation we are able to survey elevations remotely thus allowing ‘out of reach’ details to be captured i.e. Bridges.

40seven use a combination of Reflector-less Total Stations, Disto’s and Palm top computers to carry out each building survey. The drawing is created on the computer whilst on site, enabling the survey to be viewed and Quality Assured before leaving site. The drawing is then refined and detailed within Autocad to produce the final plan.
