Islands Energy Group (IEG) instructed us to undertake a MRPS (Mains Replacement Prioritisation Survey) on the Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey, over a 3-month period, beginning in August 2021.
We were asked to collect essential mains replacement data on over 430km worth of gas mains on the islands, as part of this integral safety survey work.
For maximum time and cost efficiency for our client, we implemented a smart technology approach, adapting our existing GasTrak MRPS mobile app to manage both background and asset data.
The app allows us to remotely download and collect risk data in the field, and provides the opportunity to collect and submit essential information instantly, relaying updated risk score information in real time.
This is viewable to the 40SEVEN team, as well as the client.
Currently we have completed 104km of survey work on the Isle of Man to an exceptional standard, and we are due to complete further Mains Risk surveys on the islands of Guernsey and Jersey over the next few months.
We will also be providing leakage mitigation surveys for the whole duration of our stay on the islands.
